Thank you to everyone who said they'd vote for me

As you probably know, early voting started yesterday. My wife and I hit the Registrar's office bright and early and cast our ballots. I guess we didn't want to be left out .

Regardless, I am writing this post to thank everyone who told me during my precinct walks they would vote for me. I sincerely appreciate your confidence. I also want to thank those people who called and asked questions. I was gratified to know people still care about the issues and where we as politicians stand on those issues.

If you haven't yet voted, please do. The polls are at convenient locations and the process has been streamlined. The poll workers we encountered Saturday morning were polite, knowledgeable and willing to help voters with any problem they encountered.

Republican Women Clubs

I would like to thank all of the RWCs for inviting me to say a few words at their meeting or meet the candidate forum. The last month has been busy with precinct walking and meetings. I have also been doing my homework and research on my November opponent and believe I have found one very strategic weakness.

One would have to be a complete dullard with a brain full of mush to believe my opponent is a slam dunk in November. I certainly don't believe that. In fact, I know she is as vulnerable as a new born pup.

I will continue with more information in my next post. Don't want to give away too much information at this time.

Oh, before I forget, I don't believe in disabling public safety no matter how severe the alleged budget crisis is portrayed to be. I used to be a volunteer fireman so I know what it takes to not only become a fire fighter but what it takes to stay proficient. If I was already in office, I would never vote to reduce public safety.

Enough said for now...

Introduction

My name is Tom Koziol and I am a candidate for the Nevada State Senate - District 1. I am a small business owner, retired military officer, Executive Director for a Senior focused non-profit and a man who has had enough of the good ole boy style of politics.

Professional politicians have taken a once great State and turned us into a second class governmental entity that is $880 million, by last publication, in the hole. In fact, according to a recent published study, the State of Nevada has underfunded the public employee retirement program to the degree that it is in danger of collapsing.

I have the answer that will elevate the system to where it should be. My solution guarantees retirees they will continue to receive their monthly retirement checks without worry.

Nevada leads the nations in foreclosures. This is absolutely disgusting. Yet, a simple solution is at our fingertips. All we have to do is amend a particular NRS and we can stop foreclosures and give the people what is rightfully theirs - their home. It is shameful no member of the legislature has taken the initiative to curb the lending outlaws preying on the citizens of Nevada.

Health care is another concern that can be addressed by using a model that is already active and working in Washoe County. This particular model provides health care to people who otherwise would have fallen through the cracks. In other words, people with insurance are already covered so this model steps in and fills the gap by providing coverage for those without insurance.

My campaign message is: Integrity. Reliability. Guaranteed. By that I mean, I guarantee my vote isn't for sale, if I say I'll do something, you can bet I will, I will not compromise my good name for love or money and I absolutely 100%ly guarantee you can count on me to do the right thing for the citizens.

I am not a career politician so I don't think like a career politician. I am a citizen who owns a business in Washoe County so I think like a citizen, have the expectations of a citizen and can translate my ideas into action to benefit the citizens.

Some guy promised change awhile back. I won't promise change. I will promise we can make a difference and begin to get back to real Silver State Solutions. It isn't time for a change, it is time to make a difference and bring Nevada back to Nevadans.
